Annual Telly Award Competition
Belay Media LLC won a Silver Telly for a short feature the company produced for the Houston Grand Opera entitled "HGO- Historic Perspective." The video was a compilation of footage from opera performances over that past thirty years, designed to showcase the HGO's position as one of the world's leading performance companies. The company tours extensively, having taken productions to Japan, Italy, Egypt, Scotland and France and is the only opera company in the world to win a Tony (Porgy and Bess), two Grammy's (Porgy and Bess, Nixon in China) and two Emmy awards (Nixon in China, Hitting the High Cs).
In addition to the award for the Opera, Belay was recognized with Bronze Telly Awards for work completed for Shell Oil Company, United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast and Compaq Computer Corporation.
